This week's tour uncovers the unexpected Jewish objects, as part of our tour series celebrating Jewish heritage, our Judaica collection and the Jewish patrons who donated. Discover a wedding dress made by a Jewish immigrant from the East End, who was once a rival couturier to the Royal court dressmakers, but now is almost completely forgotten. See a plaster cast from Europe's oldest synagogue, built in a period when Judaism, Christianity and Islam peacefully lived side by side. See a fireplace from a 1930s house considered to have been one of the finest Art Deco interiors in London, but whose owners caused a scandal that shocked society.
