Library and Archives Discovery Day at South Kensington

Take a moment to have a close look at weird and wonderful items from the Library collections. Join a festive book-making workshop to create small gifts for yourselves or others. Take a tour of the hidden places of the library to discover more treasures!

There will be a display of some remarkable items from the Library’s collection on the topics of: Animals, Architecture, Folk and Fairytales and Victorian Christmas. There will also be Museum Archives on show.

Create

Make your own book to take away with you. The library team will take you through bookmaking in a 45 minute workshop.  All skill levels welcome!

Decorate

Materials will be available for you to either fill the pages of your bound book, or to just respond to the Library’s collection.
