Explore exciting play adventures outdoors with our friendly team of Play Champions. Activities over the summer will include Blue Blocks play, costume making, world building and more.

On 23 August from 12:00-16:00 Oitij-Jo Collective will be leading Alpona drawing activities outside in the museum grounds to celebrate South Asian History Month.

Alpona is a traditional Bengali form of decorative, geometric street art practiced during festivals and special occasions.

In wet weather activities will take place in the Town Square or around the museum. Ask members of staff for updates on the day.

All our events are family activities, where adults are required to participate alongside their children.

This activity is part of Young V&A’s Power of Play programme. The Power of Play is a collaborative project to bring quality learning-through-play to children and young people in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. The project is funded by the LEGO Foundation and coordinated by the LEGO Group in London. Young V&A is participating in the project alongside the Institute of Imagination, Save the Children and Easy Peasy.
