Drip (slang for clothes) Maketh the Man is a spoken word project led by award-winning writer Yomi Ṣode. Over 3 months, 13 young men have explored their personal relationship between clothes, image and identity through poetry, using the V&A’s Fashioning Masculinities: The Art of Menswear exhibition and the museum’s vast collections as a starting point.

This special one-off event is your chance to sit in on some of the rich discussion from the project about what it means to be a man in the world today. Join poets Yomi Ṣode, Andrew McMillian, Jamel Duane Alatise, Omar Kent, Leo Stickley, Alfie Neill and Timotei Cobeanu to hear their explorations of modern manhood, through conversation and poems.

This event will be live streamed to online audiences from the V&A Museum. You can book a ticket to join the live audience HERE. Or sign up for a ticket on this page to receive a Zoom link to watch online.
