Unpack your creative journeys and foster hope through this sculptural lantern making.
Start by sculpting an interior layer from bamboo, using the process to reflect on past achievements and mapping your lines of the past. What shape would you make that best describes your past achievements?
Then drape and sculpt over the wooden frame to enclose the shape, thinking about your next creative steps and the different layers or processes to achieve them.
Add a light to your lantern and contribute to an installation in the garden. You can take your sculpture home at the end of the evening.
Shanti Bell is a London-based multidisciplinary artist whose practice centres on creating experiential sculpture that is interactive, immersive, and often wearable. Her work explores the relationship between sculpture and the human form, conceptually navigating emotions and the complexities of human connection, family, and personal relationships.
The Adobe Creative Residency is supported by the Adobe Foundation.
This event is part of Make & Meet, an evening of connection and creative making with free workshops, free food, and free exhibition tickets (for ages 14-26).
