Design Baby: Textures, Patterns and Structures

Join artist Matt Shaw in this multisensory session for 0-3 Year olds. You will be able to explore textures, patterns and structures inspired by the architecture of the V&A and its collections. Take the lead from your child to make a space to create in, play in, meet in, or just be in! The session will be child-led and non-structured to allow your child to explore the space and materials freely, at their own pace.
The 11:00 session is recommended for pre-walkers; the 13:00 is recommended for walkers under 3. Both sessions are designed to be inclusive of all levels and abilities, so feel free to book the session that is more suited for your child/children.
Please ask Matt or any staff members for help or prompts to interact with the space!

We welcome any parent or guardian who would like to bring their baby or toddler to the V&A. This is as an opportunity to bond with your child and find out new ways of exploring and playing.
This is a bespoke early year session for adults to do with children. No child can be left unattended. When booking the tickets, please make sure you book a ticket for each child and adult attending. These tickets are in high demand, please book max 4 tickets per booking.
This is one of 3 sessions which will be structured in a similar way, so if you can't book a ticket for this particular date, you will be able to book for the following session.
