Join us to explore The City of London: a place that has witnessed many of London's great events and key social and economic trends.

This walking tour will take you through the hidden lanes and main streets of the City of London, exploring the remaining fragments of the ancient capital and topography of the great events and key social and economic trends of the medieval and early modern city. Amid the soaring towers of the 21st century, we shall search out the vestiges of ancient moments in London’s history, from its roots in late antiquity to the era of the great fire.

This walk is designed to complement the course ‘A History of London: 1066-1666’ led by Mike Berlin but you do not need to be enrolled on any online course to join this event.

Please note that we cannot guarantee that this tour is fully accessible; there will be curbs, narrow and uneven pavements on this tour.
