A touch of cabaret in the V&A café
Step into the witty, subversive world of early British drag and celebrate two titans of the stage: the sophisticated Douglas Byng and the legendary Mrs Shufflewick.
Shuff & Byng is an intimate revue inspired by two stars of the past, as told by two contemporary queens and their musical director. Recipients of a V&A and Bunnett-Muir Musical Theatre Archive Trust Grant, this work is inspired by research in the V&A’s collection.

Expect a cocktail of high-society glamour, earthy variety-hall humour, and a delightful touch of classic cabaret.
