Join the Founder of CQ Studio, Fashion and Materials Designer Cassie Quinn for a day exploring the possibilities of biomaterials for your fashion and textiles projects.

Create your own recipes to make a range of colourways, textures and thicknesses for biomaterial embellishments to take home.

Taking inspiration from the V&A’s collections, design and apply biomaterial embellishments using applique and embroidery.

This full day workshop is for 18-26 year-olds. No previous experience needed.

Cassie Quinn is the founder of CQ Studio which focuses on the R&D of regenerative, local textiles and utilising waste to create new materials and systems of production, educational workshops and sustainable consultancy for brands and designers. Previous projects have involved working with regenerative flax grown in a crop rotation, brown seaweed and food waste. She uses a range of techniques from embroidery, laser-cutting, biology and natural pigments. She has been awarded many prizes for this work including, semi-finalist Mayor’s Entrepreneur Award, Haberdashers Scholar, and UAL Social Enterprise Programme Award. Recently she was awarded the prestigious Mead Fellowship, to conduct research into regenerative fibres and textiles for fashion.
