The Victoria and Albert Museum is home to one of the most extensive collections of Iranian art in the world. Much of this was collected in the late nineteenth century, during a specific period of contact between Victorian Britain and Qajar Iran. Join V&A curator Moya Carey as she explores the Victorian fascination with “Persia” and examines how the V&A built up its diverse collections – from lustre tilework and architectural design scrolls to the exceptional Ardabil Carpet, purchased in 1893.

This talk is open for priority booking for Members; general booking will open 3 April (subject to availability)
