Today's appetite for fast fashion is having a major impact on our environment. It's never been more important for designers to harness their creativity to develop ingenious solutions to boost the fashion industry's green credentials. Join knitwear designer and former V&A fashion designer in residence, Juliana Sissons, in this live stream to learn skills to make your designs more environmentally friendly. Explore the concept of 'zero-waste' pattern design through iconic designs such as the 'Envelope' dress by Cristobal Balenciaga, watch Juliana draft a pattern and have a go at creating your own. The Q&A function will be live throughout the session to put your questions direct to Juliana.

By the end of this session, you will have:
• found out how to design more sustainably
• drafted your own zero-waste pattern from paper
• learnt how to scale up your pattern
• gained key skills from a professional fashion designer
You will need:
• 4 or 5 sheets of A4 paper (preferably recycled)
• A set-square or ruler
• A pencil
• Scissors
