Join us for a day of talks and hands-on making workshops to discover how traditional heritage skills continue to shape contemporary ceramic production and how creative careers can develop both on and off the factory floor. With over 30 years' experience in the pottery industry, Mark Marchant has worked with leading artists and manufacturers including Grayson Perry and Burleigh Pottery and Portmerion, while many of the moulds, models and decorative pieces are now preserved within the V&A Wedgwood Collection archives. Joining him is Livvy Azzopardi, an emerging multidisciplinary artist whose work explores heritage, climate change and material culture through clay. Together, Mark and Livvy will offer a unique insight into learning a skilled craft, building a creative career and carrying Stoke-on-Trent's rich ceramic traditions into the future.
