Mini Jam with Luisa Gerstein (June 2026)
Creative celebrations for families to enjoy live sound and to play and make together.
Join us for a chance to make memories as a family.
This creative event will include opportunities to connect through sensory play, experiment with sound and create something new together.
The event will build on the sensory exploration of the sell-out Mini Play sessions, inspired by objects from our Play gallery and will include opportunities to explore music and sound making with composer and vocalist Luisa Gerstein.
Young audiences and their adults will have a chance to explore how sound looks, moves and feels in activities including mark making, messy play and improvisation inspired by Luisa's performances.
Luisa Gerstein is a vocalist and composer living and working in London. She was the founder of a choir who have performed at Southbank Centre, Green Man and Glastonbury, and one part of four-piece Landshapes, both of which released several albums through Bella Union Records. Most recently she has composed music for film and podcasts, and co-runs Pram Jam, a regular singing group for the parents and carers of babies in East London.

- Each event lasts 90 minutes and you are welcome to come and go within that time.
- The morning event from 10:30-12:00 is suggested for Under 2s and their families and the afternoon event from 13:30-15:00 is suggested for Under 5s and their families.
- Everyone coming must have a ticket for this event. £10 per adult, £10.50 per child.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult during the workshop. Multiple adults can attend with a child.
- Please note that buggies need to be left in the designated buggy park on the ground floor and cannot be brought into the space.
- If the V&A needs to cancel the event due to an emergency, or for any reason beyond the control of the V&A, we will reschedule your booking for a later date or offer a refund.
