- DJ Ritu, Broadcaster, DJ, Producer and Curator
Bharti Kher, is a British Indian artist who is internationally recognised for her sculptures which explore the body, womanhood, mythology and cultural identity. Kher's practice is radically heterogeneous, encompassing painting, sculpture and installation. You can view her current installations at the V&A which brings her work into conversation with the V&A's historic collections. DJ Ritu MBE is a globe-trotting turntablist, broadcaster, producer, curator, Fine Arts graduate, equalities activist, and the voice of the UK’s definitive independent global music show, A World in London. Her 37-year career includes two decades at the BBC, co-founding 90s cult label Outcaste Records, and touring in over 35 countries as a band-leader and solo artist. Ritu is a pioneer of the ‘Asian Underground’ and Bhangra scenes, opening doors for other artists globally. She has been decolonising dancefloors & radio airwaves since the 80s, connecting cultures through music, and trailblazing paths for women and PoC artists.
Creative workshop and refreshments

Stay for refreshments with Tava Rakh, plant based Indian food with soul and a drop-in creative workshop. You will be led by artists to experiment using the V&A South Asia Gallery as inspiration in your own creative practice.
This event has been created by a collective of Youth Producers to create a welcoming space for young people of all backgrounds to connect, spark ideas and open up conversations about creative futures.
