Designing for Downton (Livestream) photo
Over its multi-year run on television and on film, Downton Abbey has become one of the most popular period dramas of all time, with costume playing a key part in illustrating the rapidly transforming world of the Crawley family.

Costume designer Anna Robbins was twice nominated for a Primetime Emmy for her work on later seasons of the television series, before going on to design the costumes for the films. This includes includes the final instalment,  Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale, set in the 1930s, and opening in cinemas from 12 September.

Join her in conversation with V&A Curator of Film Emily Harris for a look at the creative process involved in bringing the world of Downton Abbey to life on screen through costume, and her career journey along the way.
