As the day draws towards evening,
NYX invites audiences to gather in the rooftop space for a shared act of listening and sounding. The Drone Circle brings together the threads of
First Breath: voice, body, architecture and encounter, into a sustained field of collective sound shaped by those present.
Guided by NYX vocalists and live musicians, this is both a performance and an open invitation. Participants are welcome to join with their own voice through singing, humming, chanting, or to remain in listening. No prior experience is required.
Working with breath, tone and attention, the group will build a layered sonic environment that unfolds in real time. The structure is held, but the outcome remains open, shaped by the dynamics of the group and the space itself.
As part of the opening of V&A East Museum, the Drone Circle offers a shared moment of arrival, where sound extends into the skyline and resonates through the building. It invites participants to tune into one another and to the environment, contributing to a collective expression that is both ephemeral and held in common.
Filming and photography will take place at this event.
