This lecture will explore the legacy of the Exhibition Road Building project, the largest development at the V&A for over 100 years. Philippa Simpson will trace the history of the site from Aston Webb’s original plans to the ground-breaking scheme by Amanda Levete Architects, revealing the changing needs and philosophies of the museum and the need to plan for the future.
