At this book reading and draw-along you will hear illustrator Alex Barrow read from If I Had a Dragon. He will then lead a draw-along inspired by the book, which will invite you to play and connect with others while developing illustration skills.
Alex Barrow is a London-based illustrator and the art director for and a regular contributor to OKIDO magazine. Alex and Gabby are also the duo behind children’s picture books If I Had a Dinosaur, A House for Mouse, and A Song for Bear.
If I Had a Dragon is the most recent in the series written by Gabby Dawny and illustrated by Alex Barrow.
Imagine what it would be like to have a dragon as a pet. Join our funny female protagonist on her latest flight of fancy, but watch out for that burning bad breath! Dragons are mighty mythical beasts... and perfect pets. Getting to school is a breeze when you can fly, and you would never have to worry about lighting the barbecue. But what exactly do dragons eat? Perhaps a trip to the museum will help, just beware of knights in shining armour!
Please consider the booking information below:
The events run at 11:00 and 13:30 and are 45 minutes long.
Both adults and children require tickets to enter, accepting babies-in-arms (under 12 months). Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the event.
Please use our buggy park, as we don’t have a space for them in the workshop area and they can cause potential fire and trip risks.
