Join Make its for a fun, hands-on family workshop inspired by the Marie Antoinette Style exhibition. You will have the chance to make ceramic porcelain pendants that reflect the extravagant and elaborate styles seen during the 16th century.
Think decorative bows, ruffles, jewels, flowers and fruit! In this workshop, you will learn how to sculpt, shape and design your own wearable pendant.
Families will learn hand building and sculpting skills such as rolling coils, carving clay and creating texture.
No previous experience is necessary. All materials will be provided.
The pieces will be fired and glazed, available to collect from the museum at a later date.
Materials will be allocated to the children within your group. Adults will be working together with their children.
The workshop will take place on 21st and 28th February. We will have 2 sessions per day, 11:00 and 14:00. Each workshop is 120 minutes long.
