This symposium is dedicated to looking at the use of renewable, natural materials and the future of sustainable forestry in connection to design and architecture.

The programme invites designers, scientists, manufacturers, and academics to share research, knowledge and skills during an afternoon of inspiring talks about some of the most urgent issues of our time.

The symposium forms part of the ten-year research project Make Good: Rethinking Material Futures, supported by the designer and furniture maker John Makepeace OBE.
