Meet Mrs Gabrielle Enthoven, OBE, nicknamed ‘the theatrical encyclopedia', who donated her extensive collection of 80,000 playbills, engravings, photographs, manuscripts and books to us in the 1920s. Thanks to her petitions, the Theatre and Performance collection was founded at the V&A in 1924.
