Videogames: Design/Play/Disrupt
Come and explore the intersection of handcraft and high tech in this workshop led by artist Alice Stewart, where you will discover how to use hand stitching to make your own videogame controller. You will explore ways of using conductive threads and materials to create physical buttons and sliders that can be hooked up to a computer to play. Drawing inspiration from objects in the collection you will build a library of digital content before pulling it all together with code, learning the basics of Processing, a coding language created for artists and designers.
All materials provided.
