Celebrating Women Artists: Pottery and Prints
Celebrate International Women’s Day 2023 with a curator-led tour of the displays Print and Prejudice and The Artistic Home. The tour will explore the remarkable but often overlooked contribution of women to printmaking and art pottery
Join curators Dr Hannah Lyons and Florence Tyler as they discuss the pioneering women artists featured in the displays Print and Prejudice: Women Printmakers, 1700 – 1930 and The Artistic Home: British Art Pottery from the Ian and Rita Smythe Collection. The tour will visit both displays and will highlight the important role of women in printmaking and ceramics in the 19th century and beyond.
