Lunchtime Lecture: Thomas J Price at the V&A photo

Thomas J Price is one of Britain’s leading artists. His work probes art history to interrogate the role of public sculpture and monuments, and bring to the fore issues of visibility, representation and what society values. Join Melanie Vandenbrouck, who curated Price’s intervention in the V&A sculpture galleries, as she talks about the artist’s practice, inspiration and what it means to create sculpture that calls for ‘radical empathy’.

Melanie Vandenbrouck is a curator, writer and art historian. Formerly Curator of Sculpture, 1900-Now at the V&A, she joined Pallant House Gallery as Chief Curator in 2023
