Jainism originated in India and is one of the world’s oldest religions. This event marks the annual celebration of the birth of Mahavira, the 24th Tirthankar (spiritual teacher). Discover more about Jainism with fascinating talks from contemporary Jain art to medieval manuscripts, and enjoy a special viewing of a painting by Shanti Panchal, ‘The Jain Monks’, newly acquired by the V&A, together with a talk by the artist.
