This one-day course is suitable for museum professionals who need to develop an awareness of the responsibilities involved in acting as a courier of cultural objects. The objectives are to understand the different stages of the trip and best practice associated with courier work, to appreciate the personal qualities required and to be able to mitigate risks to objects and undertake courier trip effectively.

This course is devised and delivered by registrars in the V&A’s Loans Section who are responsible for the Museum’s extensive programme of loans-out with experience of organising and undertaking courier trips with our collections when they travel in the UK and abroad.
