A Life in the Work of Others with Gabriel Moses photo
After making his directorial debut for Nike aged just 18, Gabriel Moses has gone on to collaborate with an ever-increasing range of global artists, creatives and brands, from Jay-Z, Rihanna, Pharrell, Solange and Lauryn Hill to Louis Vuitton, Dior and Vogue

Moses has fast become a defining artistic figure in Black British music culture. His editorial shoot with the British-Gambian rapper and singer Pa Salieu in 2022 made Moses the youngest ever cover photographer for Dazed magazine, and he has since shot countless magazine and publication covers featuring artists like Skepta, Dave and Wiz Kid. In 2025 Moses’ design for the Brit Award trophy placed him firmly in line with generations of iconic British designers including Vivienne Westwood, Yinka Ilori and Slawn.

Moses’ visual style and aesthetic are instantly recognisable across his photography, film, exhibitions and publications. His combinations of deep colours and rich textures create atmospheric explorations of culture, identity and heritage. Moses’ work is anchored in his Nigerian heritage and familial relationships, the memories and textures of his youth in south London, and the influence of his creative icons.

In conversation with V&A curators, Moses will explore the creative influences behind his work, sharing the artists, sounds, memories, relationships and cultures that inspire him. Discover rare insights from behind the lens of one of Britain’s most recognisable young photographers.
