Catwalk: The Art of the Fashion Show is V&A Dundee’s latest exhibition exploring the cultural significance, creativity and theatricality of the fashion show. Spanning 125 years, it brings together more than 350 objects—from iconic runway looks and rare archival film to photography, invitations and set designs—tracing the evolution of the catwalk from intimate salon presentations to global spectacles.
Join V&A Dundee Curator Kirsty Hassard for a behind-the-scenes insight into the exhibition, uncovering the stories, research and curatorial decisions that shaped Catwalk. Explore how fashion shows have reflected and influenced society across generations, blending performance, innovation and artistry to create unforgettable moments from designers including Alexander McQueen, Chanel, Dior and Vivienne Westwood.
This talk will be held on Zoom, and ticket holders will receive a link to view live on the morning of the event. The talk will also be recorded, and available to view for ticketholders after the event.
