Join host, educator and award-winning fashion and retail specialist Avis Charles in conversation with fellow designers and stylists Wale Adeyemi and Cynthia Lawrence-John, who will provide insight into their working practices across a range of Black musical styles from 1990s to 2020s.

Against the musical backdrops of Jungle, drum & bass, Trip Hop, UK Garage, Grime (and their respective subgenres), how did Wale and Cynthia’s talents and creative instincts work within an industry selling sound, but reliant on new visual identities to capture the interest and imagination of record buyers?

A Programme Schedule will be available shortly.

This event is part of the wider celebration of The Music Is Black: A British Story Exhibition.
