Meet the Designer

Saskia Martindale is a Set and Prop Designer, working within Art Direction, Production Design, Prop Styling, Prop Making, and Puppet Making. Saskia’s work is bold and playful, and often humorous. Saskia's client-based work mostly sits in the advertising and editorial world and has worked with big brands such as Nike and Magazines such as Vogue. 

During Saskia’s takeover she will finalise her two-year costume project and create a photobook. Working alongside photographer Brendan Freeman they have created around 40 handmade costumes which are put into different settings and all shot in the same stance. Some of the costumes have become characters and have their own narratives, but most are an exploration of often discarded material.
