Come along to a fun filled dance workshop led by teachers from ZooNation: The Kate Prince Company. Inspired by the Re:Imagining Musicals display and ZooNation's signature storytelling style, come and get the whole family dancing!
Workshops will be suitable for all abilities and will combine styles that originated from and have been influenced by Hip Hop culture. You will get to tell narratives through movement, set to original music from some of ZooNation's hit shows such as Some Like It Hip Hop and The Mad Hatter's Tea Party.
Each workshop is approximately 40 minutes long. Workshops are free, starting at 11:00, 13:00 and 15:00.
This is a families event for adults to do with children; no child can be left unattended. The 11:00 and 13:00 workshops are recommended for children ages 6-10, while the 15:00 workshop is for ages 11-14.
Workshops are free but capacity will be limited. All the pre-booked tickets have now sold out, but it's likely that there will be some extra spaces for walk-ups on the day, depending on capacity.
On Sunday 27th November, watch out for some exciting performances from ZooNation Youth Company around the workshops. This company is comprised of some of the best young Hip Hop performers in the country, having previously performed in shows at The Linbury Theatre, Royal Opera House, Southbank Centre's Queen Elizabeth Hall and at events such as Nelson Mandela's 90th Birthday Celebrations, Breakin' Convention, The New Year's Day Parade, Blue Peter and the International Olympics Committee to name a few.
