V&A Members get a chance to see the display that explores an A-Z of themes to show how performance continues to entertain, provoke and inspire. Originally founded by Gabrielle Enthoven in 1924 with the aim of explaining ‘the working of a play from the construction of the theatre, the designing of the scenery and costumes to the smallest workings necessary in the house’, the V&A’s National Collection of Performing Arts has since grown to become one of the largest of its kind in the world.
Please book one ticket per adult aged 16 or older attending the exhibition, including yourself. You may book one ticket for an adult guest if you hold a valid Plus Guest Membership. All Members may also bring up to four children under 16 without booking tickets for them.
The Members' Preview Day runs during general museum opening hours, Friday 10:00 - 21:45 (last entry 20:15).
Valid Membership cards must be presented with tickets to gain entry to the exhibition. The named cardholder must be present for the tickets to be used.
A section of this display contains adult themes, including substance use, sexual violence, violence and cannibalism.
