Families are invited to join fun, themed story-making sessions where everyone can help create adventures together. There will also be time for creative, self-directed play, where you can explore characters, ideas, and make-believe worlds at your own pace.
The space will be open from 12.00 - 16.00, with a Story Maker joining at points to help spark ideas and support collaborative story-making.
- 25 July, Imaginary Worlds: craft wild, unusual worlds inspired by museum objects with artist / museum facilitator Lucie MacGregor.
- 1 August, Seasons: explore nature's seasons through sight, sound, and touch with author / gardener Ella Phillips.
- 8 August, Characters: watch toys come alive with superpowers and secret friends with storyteller/ theatre practitioner Luke Saydon.
- 15 August, Journeys: create playful tales about the big adventures of moving places with theatre maker / museum facilitator Roberta Livingston.
