Want to meet swarming robots, create your own card game and swim in a cardboard sea? Join Young V&A for our first ever Games Day!
Free family activities will take place between 11.00 – 15.30, drawing on themes and stories from Japan: Myths to Manga.

Come along to…
- rendezvous with robots in our Swarm Puzzle sessions, with Toshiba and Bristol Robotics Laboratory (recommended for 7+; set session times)
- race through the forest! Design and make a collective game inspired by the Japanese game of Suguroku in our Open Studio (all ages)
- have a dip in our cardboard sea workshop and help invent a game together with games designer Viv Schwarz (all ages; set session times)
- play Japanese strategy games with the games-masters from Universal Board Games (recommended for 11+)
- pick up your own Young V&A game cards to play across the whole museum (all ages)

A full plan of Games Day activities and individual session timings will be available on site on the day. All activities are free and spaces in sessions may be limited. (Please note that Japan: Myths to Manga is a ticketed exhibition and tickets must be purchased separately.)

Japan: Myths to Manga is supported by Toshiba.
