Celia Pym: Mending Days
Celia Pym's ‘mending day’ series, as part of her Woman’s Hour Craft Prize work 'Where Holes Happen', concludes with a final session where the holes presented during all mending days will be mapped onto a new garment.
Celia Pym is a textile artist who carefully darns other people’s clothing, interrogating our feelings towards care and repair. On this final mending day, Celia will return the newly-repaired garments to their owners. Visitors will have the opportunity to see their holes mapped onto a new tracksuit, providing a record of all the holes seen over the course of the mending days.
