Immerse yourself in the remarkable culture of south India and the powerful, beautiful classical dance drama of the Kathakali and the classical dance of Bharathanatyam. For this special, celebratory afternoon we're delighted to host traditional Indian dancers from south India who will be performing these intoxicating ancient arts, including the group dance ritual of Kai Kotti Kali, in the unique surroundings of our Museum. Plus, marvel at the rare, stunning display of ancient Kathakali and Bharatanatyam costumes that will accompany the performances.

(12.30 – 12.50) – Dance performances take place around the museum
(13.00) – Lecture theatre doors open to see the costumes
(13.30 – 14.30) – Performance presentation
(15.00 – 15.20) – Dancing around the museum
