Design Club (11-14), October Half Term
Work alongside designer in The Shed Christie Swallow
Work alongside designer in The Shed Christie Swallow to create bird housing models, inspired by Young V&A's architectural collections and a variety of sustainable materials.
The Shed is a residency studio built into the Design Gallery at Young V&A, it is a space for designers to work and share their practice. Christie Swallow will be working on their project in The Shed from July 2026 - January 2027.
Design Club is a space just for 11-14 year olds to work alongside designers and makers and learn about creative careers. Expect to get hands on with materials, improve or learn a new skill while making friends! During the workshop you will have access to a selection of Young V&A's material library and books about design and materials.

Each participant must be accompanied to the museum and Open Studio by an adult, during the activity, adults are welcome to explore the rest of the museum. If you have a younger sibling there will always be a family activity running alongside in Open Studio. The workshop is free and you can, please be prepared to wait if we are full or put your name down for a session that day. Workshop times are: 12:00, 12:50, 13:40, 15:15 last entry is at 15.15
