Lunchtime Lecture: Silvia Weidenbach, Gilbert Artist in Residence
Join V&A Artist in Residence Silvia Weidenbach as she discusses her work with the Gilbert Collection. Silvia is a jewellery designer whose work combines traditional gold- and silver-smithing techniques with digital craft such as 3D printing and the haptic arm. During her residency Silvia has been exploring the histories of the Gilbert Collection’s beautiful, highly decorated snuffboxes in order to produce her own 21st century chest.
