Meet us in the Paintings Gallery, as we learn more about Dante Gabriel Rossetti, the Pre-Raphaelites’ use of symbolism and the artist’s obsession with Jane Morris, the wife of William Morris, who was the sitter for this iconic painting. The V&A received the painting as part of the Constantine Alexander Ionides ’ bequest which established the V&A’s paintings collection.
This event is free but ticketed. Booking is essential. Please meet in the Paintings Gallery, Room 81. Tea and coffee will be provided afterwards.
October 6th – 10th is V&A’s Legacy Week! Discover how gifts in Wills make a difference to the V&A and how you could share your love for our family of museums by leaving a gift in your Will.
