From cottage gardens to formal gardens, kitchen gardens to water gardens, Kathryn Bradley-Hole, one of Britain's foremost garden writers, will take us on a horticultural tour de force of English gardens. She will discuss those designed by the great designers such as Gertrude Jeykyll and Capability Brown and also many cherished but less well-known examples, to distil the essence of what makes English garden style so sought after and admired across the world. Illustrated by photographs from the unparalleled archives of Country Life we will discover beautiful gardens that reach back to medieval times and ones that are at the cutting edge of garden design today in the 21st Century.
