Past Event

Divas are renowned for show-stopping and unapologetic on-stage style. From Marlene Dietrich to Elton John to Beyonce, the Diva builds their persona with the help of one-of-a-kind outfits. In this workshop, you will take a journey through decades of celebrity style, visually piecing together what made each fashion era unique, finally taking away a stunning digital fashion illustration.
This event is now sold out.

  • Begin with an introduction to drawing the fashion figure and capturing the essence of a model, pose, or outfit.

  • Next, practical exercises will familiarise you with figure drawing and depicting fabric movement and texture.

  • Finally, with a celebrity muse in mind, you will illustrate a bespoke design and digitise your sketches using the Procreate app.

  • The session will simplify the fashion sketch while equipping participants with techniques to develop their own style and approach.

  • Tickets includes admission to the DIVA exhibition to be used on the day of the workshop.

This workshop is suitable for all levels and limited to 16 attendees. Attendees must be 18+. This workshop includes sketching by hand as well as using iPads, Apple Pencils and the illustration application Procreate. All materials including iPads are provided. Suitable for beginners.
