Iran is a vast and varied country with rich cultural heritage and a complex political present. Its contemporary art scene is a force for exploration and critique of its many faces and histories. The day’s talks will explore the legacies of oil, the potential of the digital sphere, and urban space as a stage for creativity. This is a special opportunity to hear from artists based across Iran and in the diaspora, including curator Morad Montazami and artist Azadeh Akhlaghi in conversation with V&A and Epic Iran curators. Join us to discover the fascinating ways in which artists respond to the social and political conditions of their time.
