Join distinguished violinist and creative director Madeleine Mitchell and her London Chamber Ensemble as they take us on an Anglo-Russian musical journey, with a live string quartet performance inspired by the 'Fabergé in London: Romance to Revolution' exhibition. Highlights include Borodin's romantic Quartet no 2, as well as the premiere of Mitchell's arrangement of 'Luchinushka' (Russian Lament, 1917) by Herbert Howells CH CBE and other exquisite Russian short pieces. The introduced concert will be followed by a themed three-course dinner in the Members' Room.
The V&A has put numerous health and safety measures in place to ensure the museum is a safe, relaxing and inspiring place for our patrons and visitors. We have taken steps to ensure that all V&A sites are reasonably COVID-19 secure with cleaning, handwashing and hygiene procedures in line with guidance. Hand sanitiser will be available, and face coverings are required unless exempt. A level of social distancing will be maintained, including limiting capacity in the Lecture Theatre.
