Past Event

Sian Fan is an interdisciplinary artist working in London. Her work combines movement, the body and technology to explore embodiment, spirituality, and human experience in the digital age. She seeks to create works that reflect upon the experience of being online, with devices being used as portals into new realms. This residency coincides with the exhibition Alice: Curiouser and Curiouser.

Streaming live to multiple schools, the session will get your students thinking about the exciting world of Digital Art today, whilst simultaneously giving an insight into a career and entryways into the creative industries. There will be a chance to put questions to Sian in a live Q&A during the session.

By the end of the session your students will have explored:
-What is Digital Art & Digital Technology?
-The work of a Digital Artist and industry insights on how to get started as an artist
-Using a museum collection and research as a starting point to create work
