Design your own film poster! In this workshop, you will explore museum objects and use them to imagine your own animated story. You will learn about some processes of animation making – from designing characters, building a storyline to sketching a storyboard. Then, turn your movie idea to an eye-catching poster, using drawing, collage and a mix of creative materials.
Booking information:
- This is a family workshop, where adults are required to participate alongside their children. Only children need to have tickets.
- We recommend the ratio to be at least one adult per three children. We are not able to accommodate more than one adult per group.
- This workshop is for children aged 7-14. We regret that due to the nature of materials being used, we are not able to accommodate younger children, and we cannot allow younger siblings without tickets in the workshop room.
- If you are no longer able to attend, please kindly let the V&A know so we can release your places. Please check the details of the workshop before booking. Unfortunately, tickets are non-refundable.
- If the V&A needs to cancel the event due to an emergency, or for any reason beyond the control of the V&A, we will reschedule your booking for a later date or offer a refund.
- Our visual story shows you pictures of the museum and how to access our spaces. Please check our Access page for further information.
- Our workshops are for everyone. We know that visiting a museum as a family requires lots of planning. If you would like further information or would like to tell us about your child’s needs in advance, please contact us by email: yvalearningevent@vam.ac.uk
