Anton Kusters' The Blue Skies Project comprises 1078 instant film images of blue skies taken at the location of every known Nazi concentration camp. The series deals with concepts of trauma and memory. Tied to this is Kusters' use of colour instant film, a particularly unpredictable and unstable process prone to fading.
Join Kusters, V&A curators Lisa Springer and Jacques Schuhmacher and conservator Stephanie Jamieson to discuss this powerful series.
This talk is part of the conference Colour Fever (25 October – 5 November), supported by The Bern Schwartz Family Foundation and hosted in collaboration with the V&A Research Institute. Please see the attached programme for full details of the conference.
This event will be held online and all ticket holders will receive a link to join via email prior to the event.
