Lesley Miller, Senior Curator of Textiles and Fashion at the V&A will be talking about the process of making silk in eighteenth-century England and France. Lesley, the author of Selling Silks: A Merchant’s Sample Book 1764, will unveil world of weaving, sharing insights on how Huguenot working practices related to the work of their competitors in Lyon in the south east of France.
