Aimed at postgraduate researchers with an interest in the ownership histories of cultural heritage artefacts, this study day will introduce the V&A’s National Art Library and Archive collections. It will equip researchers with an understanding of how the V&A’s library and archival resources can aid in research into provenance research and the ownership histories of objects, both in the museum’s own collections and further afield. The day will include presentations and talks from V&A staff spotlighting provenance research at the museum, and exploring some of the challenges involved in this type of research. There will also be opportunities to view and handle collections items up-close, and put questions to staff.
