Why We Ask

Why We Ask starts the new year rooted in radical curiosity and critical enquiry, focused on the questions that fuel creative work and imagination. Participants will reflect on questions they have asked that have led to creative discoveries and innovation. 

This session explores how the questions we ask shape the work we make.  How curiosity can be nurtured within one’s creative process, and how the answers we find, or fail to find, can enable the deconstruction and reimagination of contemporary culture, society and ideas. 

During the session, a revolving question exchange invites participants to take turns answering meaningful questions about their creative practice, perspectives and lessons. This process will be underpinned by the care, consideration and connection that facilitates authentic introspection and knowledge sharing.

This session is facilitated by Tito Mogaji. He is the founder of Nourishment, a community and cultural agency focused on connecting underrepresented communities with arts and culture through curated experiences, campaigns and partnerships.

This event is for anyone living, working or studying in east London, aged 18+, emerging to established within the creative sector.   Booking is essential with limited spaces for on the day drop-in.

As part of the Ideas Exchange programme of interactive talks, this event will be documented through film, photography and live artist interpretation.
