Join us at Young V&A for free creative activities for families exploring nature and natural materials.


Clay Play
12.00-16.00, North Garden (weather permitting)
Families, All ages
Create a clay coin that represents something you treasure, then add it to a growing display in the museum's garden area. This activity is inspired by the works of artist Ciara Neufeldt, Adobe Ceramics Resident at the V&A.

* This activity will be replaced with another activity, Joyful Patterns, in our Community Room, in case of wet weather.

Family Design Challenge

An opportunity for the whole family to get hands-on and creative with a variety of materials.

Makers Club

Ages 11-14
Makers Club for 11-14 year olds is an opportunity to work alongside makers and designers. This summer learn to finger knit with post industrial waste with Emma Mathews of Socko a sustainable sock brand. 

Relaxed Storytime for families with Under 5s

Wind your day down with us at this relaxed, interactive story time with theatre maker and museum staff Roberta Livingston, designed for families with children under 5.

*  There is a limited capacity for this event. Collect wristbands from 15.00 at the museum’s Town Square to sign-up on the day. First come first served.


Alongside, we will also be holding Sensory Friendly Story in the mornings of the same Fridays during the summer holiday.
